Our Story
"I grew up around architecture and residential construction, but eventually found my way into the technology sector. A career in engineering and dealing with innovation has taught me how the co-existence of humans and applied sciences can improve our lives. In my experience, iterative creation derived by craving improvement and a process of continuously asking why is a sound formula for positive results. While my chosen career took me in a different direction, construction sciences has remained one of my dearest passions with a deep desire to build something wonderful that has never waned.
Over the years, I've been blessed with many opportunities to visit faraway places. These travels have also provided an interesting occasion to discuss different ways that various cultures design, built and live within their communities. While conversations were typically personal interest, it became apparent to me how intrinsically important building methods are to most communities. The construction of our surroundings are as important as the food we eat, the art we admire and the politics that govern us. My encounters have allowed me to discover a deeper understanding of many aspects of living that might have otherwise escaped these experiences. I've observed a profound importance of honouring old architecture that has withstood thousands of years and the many effects of both humans and mother nature. These are societies that insist on preservation and restoration to honour a legacy. In other places, modern structures are being erected from the newest materials and cutting-edge technologies, demonstrating a clear vision of the future. I've found great delight in both examples, but also seeing a hybrid of these approaches, when people have an understanding that preservation is important, but then modernization is also essential for advancement all the while making beautiful living spaces. This union is certainly amazing, but only possible through adoption of modern concepts and technologies to old ideas. The perfect blend of art in science has its origins with Vitruvius, but this has also become our vision for Vitruvian Homes. |

Our end game if to have the entire industry become a more responsible and share these outcome with home buyers. Everyone should be proud of the way the home looks, but we think think they should also have pride in the way their home is built.
